Institut für Medizinische Elektrotechnik,
The Institute for Electrical Engineering in Medicine (IME) at the University of Lübeck is performing innovative and interdisciplinary research in the areas of feedback control and mechatronics. The context of this research is on medical devices and in particularly physiological closed loop control systems. By using mathematical models of physiological and technical systems combined with state-of-the-art-optimization techniques, the results of this work may provide better, safer and more intuitive medical devices. The teaching portfolio of the institute includes (among others) lectures in control theory, signal and system analysis and mechatronics.
