The SI-Xx08 series are the Industrial EtherCAT Slave I/O modules equipped with EtherCAT Protocol. This series support various I/O formats, such as isolated digital input, isolated digital output, analog input, etc. The I/O modules provide two RJ-45 ports that allow daisy-chain topology, as well as DIN-Rail mounting design. The Power-In terminal block and two RJ-45 ports are located on the top side while the I/O terminal block and LED indicators can be found on the front side. The I/O and Power-In terminal block are removable for easy wiring and the LED indicators on the front side indicate the system and I/O status. All modules are able to operate in the wide-ranged temperatures from -25°C to +75°C.
In this model series, there are two types of signals: analog and digital. All modules are also protected by isolation circuit design for industrial applications. For the digital modules, the SI-Xx08 series support isolated digital input and output for device control. For the analog modules, it supports analog input for data acquisition.
The SI-Xx08 series I/O modules are installed by daisy-chain connection which is flexible for device installation. For the power requirements, the SI-Xx08 modules are designed for standard industrial unregulated 24 VDC Power input. However, the modules accept any power unit that supplies power within the range of +9 to +48 VDC. The qualified EtherCAT Master can connect with SI-Xx08 modules easily and can be applied for various applications.
