The SC8 motor controller is a compact and high-performance solution for demanding motion tasks. It supports both EtherCAT® and step-direction control, enabling flexible integration into various systems. With freely configurable inputs and outputs, the SC8 adapts to complex automation environments and can operate fully stand-alone—ideal for decentralized applications or modular setups.
Technically, the SC8 offers:

- 6 Aeff continuous output current at 240 W
- Up to 8 Aeff boost current
- Slim 17.5 mm housing, making it half as wide as comparable models
- Control via EtherCAT® or step-direction interface
- Separate interfaces for brake and encoder
- No active cooling required, ensuring efficient thermal management
- Flexible I/O configuration for seamless integration into diverse system architectures
Thanks to EtherCAT® and the CiA® 402 Drive Profile, the SC8 enables straightforward networking and supports peripherals such as limit switches, reference switches, encoders, and more.
