Reverion

Reverion GmbH develops and builds highly efficient, fuel cell-based power plants for biogas facilities. The defining feature of their power plants is reversibility: in power mode, they generate electricity from biogas and capture pure CO₂, whilst in electrolysis mode, they reverse the process to produce green gases, such as hydrogen or synthetic methane. This increases the efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability of biogas plants. When the captured CO₂ is reused, the overall process becomes CO₂-negative, supporting a decentralized and reliable energy supply. Based in Eresing, Germany, the company achieved an electrical efficiency of 74.2%, setting a new world record and making it the most efficient power plant in the world.
