Martin Rostan
Executive Director, EtherCAT Technology Group

Martin Rostan studied aerospace engineering in Germany and in the United Kingdom and received his diploma degree in 1992. Subsequently he managed the international research project that developed the initial CANopen technology. From 1996 until 1998 he was marketing manager and authorized officer at Selectron. Since 1998 he is with Beckhoff, first as senior product manager for Ethernet and fieldbus systems and since 2006 as head of technology marketing. Martin serves the fieldbus community in various committees: he is the executive director of the EtherCAT Technology Group, chairs the CANopen groups inside CAN in Automation and represents Beckhoff in ODVA and in several conference program committees. He also is technical expert in ISO and IEC standardization committees for industrial communication. With publications in magazines, text books, conferences and symposia he contributes to the dissemination of fieldbus and Ethernet technologies.

Huy Truong Nguyen

Huy Truong Nguyen is the Country Manager of Beckhoff Automation Vietnam. Ray Lin

Ray Lin works as the senior product manager for ADLINK Technology, managing EtherCAT solution development and system integration. Having served in the machine automation industry for 20 years, Ray is familiar with various motion control technologies and solution planning for industries including semiconductor, EMS, renewable energy, optoelectronics, and CNC machining.

Caspar Ko
Senior Software Engineer, IntervalZero

Joining IntervalZero in 2017, Caspar began his career as a software quality assurance engineer and continued with a research and development position taking charge of EtherCAT master stack and motion control algorithms. Having been attending several EtherCAT plug fests, he accumulated a bunch of experience in interoperability tests with EtherCAT devices. Now as a senior software engineer, Caspar focuses on the fieldbus protocols and tools for analyzing the performances of these protocols on different PC platforms.

Than Van Pha
Junior Manager, PRESTOSOLUTION

Before that, he worked for SAMSUNG R&D Center in Vietnam as research engineer 1 year and then got the information and telecommunication master degree at SoongSil University, Korea in 2017. From last 3 years, his job mainly has focused on investigating, developing and solving EtherCAT problems on Acontis’s EtherCAT Solution. In addition, Mr. Than Van Pha also supported customers bring up EtherCAT master on multiple hardware platforms.

Hwanny Kim
Software Engineer, STONE CHILD AUTOTAINMENT

Hwanny studied software engineering and has been working on software development for 17 years. He was initially a Windows program developer, but has been interested in control systems and fieldbus since 2009. He has been working for Stone Child Autotainment since 2017, and has focused on data collection and utilization at Stone Child Autotainment. He has developed SCAT-D, a data collection solution based on the Beckhoff system and EtherCAT over the past four years, and he is now making great efforts on how to utilize the collected data.
