Electric power interface for agricultural tractors and implements

Abstract

As a complement to the well established mechanical and hydraulical power interfaces between tractors and implement, an electric power outlet has been recently introduced. This additional interface will allow to use the inherent advantages of electric drive systems, controllability and power distribution, in order to optimize field applications on a system level. The broad variety of implements and attachments have lead to increased requirements in respect of performance and flexibility on either side, transmission of power and transfer of information.
