Mr. Martin Rostan
Executive Director, EtherCAT Technology Group

Martin Rostan studied Aerospace Engineering in Germany and in the United Kingdom and received his Diploma Degree in 1992. Subsequently he managed the international research project that developed the initial CANopen technology. From 1996 until 1998 he was marketing manager and authorized officer at Selectron. Since 1998 he is with Beckhoff, first as senior product manager for Ethernet and fieldbus systems and since 2006 as Head of Technology Marketing.
Martin serves the fieldbus community in various committees: he is the Executive Director of the EtherCAT Technology Group, chairs the CANopen groups inside CAN in Automation and represents Beckhoff in ODVA and in several conference program committees. He also is technical expert in ISO and IEC standardization committees for industrial communication. With publications in magazines, text books, conferences and symposia he contributes to the dissemination of fieldbus and Ethernet technologies.

Mr. Chia-Wei Yang who is expertise in machine automation control field to commit the offering the variety of automation control solutions such as motion & I/O controller, vision inspection as well as field buses solutions. He has stayed in the industry for 7 years and has joined Beckhoff as Application and Support engineer since 2016.

Juerg Eggimann has 25 years of experience in PC based control and motion control system and robotics. He started his career as a toolmaker and then obtained a bachelor degree in electronic and microprocessor systems, followed by a master degree in computer automation and a master degree in real time software in Bern, Switzerland. From 1988 until 1992 he was CTO of the PB Swiss Tools company, before he co-founded TAS Engineering, which he lead as CTO until 2005. Since 2005 he is Managing Director or Gudel Lineartec Co., Ltd. Bangkok, Thailand.
