Martin Rostan

Mr. Martin Rostan
Executive Director, EtherCAT Technology Group

Martin Rostan studied Aerospace Engineering in Germany and in the United Kingdom and received his Diploma Degree in 1992. Subsequently he managed the international research project that developed the initial CANopen technology. From 1996 until 1998 he was marketing manager and authorized officer at Selectron. Since 1998 he is with Beckhoff, first as senior product manager for Ethernet and fieldbus systems and since 2006 as Head of Technology Marketing.
Martin serves the fieldbus community in various committees: he is the Executive Director of the EtherCAT Technology Group, chairs the CANopen groups inside CAN in Automation and represents Beckhoff in ODVA and in several conference program committees. He also is technical expert in ISO and IEC standardization committees for industrial communication. With publications in magazines, text books, conferences and symposia he contributes to the dissemination of fieldbus and Ethernet technologies.

Chia-Wei Yang

Mr. Chia-Wei Yang

Mr. Chia-Wei Yang who is expertise in machine automation control field to commit the offering the variety of automation control solutions such as motion & I/O controller, vision inspection as well as field buses solutions. ADLINK solutions commit in electrical manufacturing process automation, laser engraving as well as AOI in semiconductor & TFT-LCD manufacturing. Mr. Chia-Wei Yang is in charge of ecosystem partner engagement, strategic vertical market development at present.

Vanessa Cassandra

Vanessa Cassandra received her Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from National University of Singapore in 2016. During her studies, she joined Beckhoff Automation as an intern and started her exposure to the automation industry. She joined the team again after graduation as an Application Engineer, and has been involved in various projects involving machines and building application.

 

Chua Choon Beng

Mr. Chua Choon Beng
Business Development Manager, M8M

Choon Beng founded the company M8M Pte Ltd, the company’s core business is providing Intralogistics Automation Solution for the Logistic Industries. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Honours), majoring in Control Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. Choon Beng spent much of his 30 years of working career in the automation industry, developing solutions for customers around the world from China, to Middle East and the USA. Now he uses his experience to develop solutions in M8M, some projects that the company did are for example an Automated Carpark Control System for Thomas Medical Centre, an Automatic Order Fulfilment System for DB Schenker and the latest is a Baggage Handling System with Automatic Security Screening in Seletar Airport for Changi Airport Group. Being Beckhoff’s Gold Solution Partner in Singapore, the systems mentioned above is also developed using Beckhoff’s IPC, TwinCAT and EtherCAT platforms. Choon Beng will share one of these projects that M8M have delivered utilising the strength of EtherCAT.

 

Tang Chee Tuck

Mr. Tang Chee Tuck
Marketing Manager, Sanyo Denki Singapore

Mr. Tang has joined Sanyo Denki Singapore in 2006 doing regional sales that covers Southeast Asia, India and Oceania countries. He is specialized in all 3 main product lines namely cooling fan, motor and power-related product. With the setting up of new sales offices in Thailand, India and Indonesia, he is tasked to oversee the regional training as well as spearhead the newly-created marketing department. He is now the marketing manager and is actively promoting new technology including EtherCAT.
