China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI), established in 1951, is a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive research institution in China’s electric power sector as well as a subsidiary research institute of the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC). CEPRI is active in a broad variety of research areas relevant to electric science and business, including power generation, transmission, and distribution, power supply and utilization, electric project design, construction, commissioning, operation, monitoring and maintenance and renewable energy, new materials, energy conversion, information and communication technology, etc.

NERC

National Engineering Research Center (NERC) for T&D which belonged to China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI) was set up in 1995. The research center, approved by National Development and Reform commission, making use of World Bank loan and domestic related fund, was founded according to the science and technology development plan of National Development and Reform commission of China. Now it specializes in the application of power electronics technology, power quality technology and the wavelet transform technology.
