The Institute of Electronic CAD of Xidian University, for short IECAD, is founded in June 1986. The IECAD is a doctoral degree awarding unit affiliated to the national key subject of Circuit and System. Meanwhile, IECAD built the Key Laboratory of Electronic System Integration Design Technology at Department of Information Industry. Recently, IECAD is responsible for correlative projects in Signal Integrality Analysis, Image Processing and Digital Vision and Embed System and Electrical Line Communication.

The Department of Robotics Engineering at Xidian University, within the School of Mechano-Electronic Engineering, offers a comprehensive robotics research platform integrating mechanical hardware, electronic control, and artificial intelligence. The department conducts research across robot structure design, dynamic analysis, servo control, sensing and detection, and AI-driven systems. Supported by the Key Laboratory of Electronic Equipment Structure Design of the Ministry of Education and multiple national research projects, it benefits from a strong foundation in mechanical, control, and electronic engineering.
