One EtherCAT network for complete production line

Abstract |
A lot of thought
ware effort in order to select the best
architecture for dripping pipe
production line in Netafim Irrigation
Company. The main issues were: fast
communication protocol, use of varied
types of protocols and peripheral
equipment, implement modular safety
solution, motion control and the ability
to connect/disconnect parts of the
machine during production. In order to
answer all of those demands and the
future ones, Netafim decide to choose
Beckhoff with its EtherCAT solutions. |

Shani worked for Netafim from 1997 to
2008. Shani finished his engineering
studied while working for Netafim at the
year 2002. At the last six years he
worked for the Technical development
group. At the year 2008 Shani moved to
G.B.M automation & robotics ltd, a
machine builder company. In this company
he uses a huge verity of PLC and motion
controllers.
Since 2011 Shani works for Beckhoff
automation LTD. as application engineer
and technical support. |
